Dr. Cook obtained her bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Political Science from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2009. She went on to obtain her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana State University in 2011. She rounded out her intensive academic journey by obtaining her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in 2016.

She has led national trainings on increasing clinical supervision skills that incorporate social justice and are trauma informed.
